Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC) Rhode Island Chapter recognized RELCO with the first place eagle award for the RISD Prov/Wash Project at the annual Excellence in Construction Awards Ceremony on October 10,2018 in Providence, RI .
RISD’s Prov/Wash five-story historic building renovation was broken into three phases, with phases 1 and 2 completed over an aggressive seven-month schedule to accommodate construction of its new Student Success Center including an Advising Center, Registrar’s Office, Student Financial Services and Career Center.
Phases 1 and 2 were completed with the building remaining open to accommodate the four upper levels and lower basement level offices. Construction was completed with minimal interruption to the other operations housed in the building.
