At RELCO, we strive to be “THE POWER BEHIND A JOB DONE RIGHT”. To us, this means ensuring project quality and timeliness while providing our team with the tools to be able to support this ideal. To do so, we recently added the Trimble RTS 873 Robotic Total Station to our tool box.
The RTS873 is not a tool that every electrical contractor has. We’re using it on projects of all sizes to improve time, accuracy, and minimize human error when transferring a project from a 2D print layout to the 3D job site. As it heightens layout precision, it can be used in various types of layout including: lighting, rack, cable tray, wall / slab penetration, floor boxes, receptacles, and fire alarm. It has proved to be enormously helpful to our Project Management team and our on-site crews. According to Mike Botelho, Assistant Project Manager, it has the capability to adjust even the smallest offset in real time in the field allowing our on-site crew to focus on other critical areas of the job while allowing the Trimble tool to do what it is designed to do.
